The Third Edition is an updated genealogical history of The Vincent Family that was originally published in 1959 by Anna Vincent and arranged by Clifford Buck.
The family has been traced to Charles Vincent, first found in Yonkers in 1675. His possible origins are reviewed including a discussion on Adriaen Vincent of New Amsterdam.
Five years in the making, and two years in production, this significant revision brings the family up to date for this century and adds numerous new lines, including many that left New York State and spread across North America.

The first edition of this genealogy appeared in 1959. In this new edition, there is not only additional information, but all statements have been carefully documented by footnotes or in-text references. The family founder Charles Vincent first appears in Yonkers in 1675. His origin is not known, although it has been suggested that he was the man of the same name previously in Maryland. Prior editions of this book claimed that he was a son of Adriaen Vincent of New Amsterdam, but the editors are careful to emphasis that this cannot be proved; a very brief genealogy of Adriaen's family is included as an appendix. Charles' descendants are traced to the present day, thirteen generations presented in Register format, nicely illustrated, well indexed and attractively printed and bound. This is a welcome addition to New York genealogical literature.

Jonathan G.5 Vincent (Gilbert4, Leonard3, Leonard2, Charles1) born 9 April 1789; married Loretta Williams 12 February 1821 The Reformed Church, Hopewell Junction, Dutchess Co., NY;1 died 15 September 1879 at age 90. A monument for this Vincent family is at Clove Cemetery, Town of Union Vale, Dutchess Co., NY. Inscriptions are for Jonathan G. and Loretta Vincent, Henry L. Vincent, John W. Vincent and his wife, and Michael M. Vincent and his wife.2 In the 1850 census he was a farmer living at Union Vale. Loretta Williams was born 26 November 1801. She died 23 January 1882 age 80. Photographs from an old family album including Jonathan G. Vincent, his wife and descendants included in later generations were submitted by Laura Coldwell. The people in the photographs were identified by Elizabeth Coe Traver Ganse. The identity of other individuals’ photos in the album is not known.Children of
